 Department of marketing envisages imparting knowledge and skills to the students through its highly qualified and experienced faculty members from across the world to graduate and fulfil the dream of national development plan to play active role in industry, agriculture, tourism and trade. COB realises that marketing as a major has to contribute in research and development so that marketing professionalism emerges to support strategic market planning, advertising and promotion, distribution and logistics through market research and add values to industry.

To become the most prominent and leading department of marketing in Saudi Arabia whose graduates are well known nationally and regionally in relation to their skills in marketing and market research.

Mission:

The Department of Marketing mission is to prepare student with the required skills and knowledge for various marketing jobs in all sectors. This can be done through the development of attitude, skills, and knowledge related to marketing. We aim developing students analytical skills, ability to diagnose the market, solve the market problems, train on decision taking, and develop strategies for market plans. In addition, configure the suitable atmosphere to enable the teaching staff to raise their level of teaching and participate actively in developing the science of marketing through research and benefit themselves as well as the student community at large.

Objectives:

  • Providing the students with a strong basis of knowledge as well as the contemporary equipment and skills that are necessary to enable them to obtain jobs in the field of marketing or to join the post graduate studies after their graduation.
  • Raising the standard of the analytical skill and diagnosing the market. This is considered the most important skill for anyone wanting to become a marketing professional.
  • To develop the students’ capabilities to adapt to the modern technological development as well as the innovative marketing activities.
  • Activate the relations with business organizations through projects, research or field training.
